- 1 1/4 of peanut oil
- 2 2 plantain bananas
- salt flower
Method
- 1.Peel your bananas and cut them into thin slices about 1 cm thick. This is the key step to getting crisp chips.
- 2.Pour half the oil into a large non-stick pan that you heat. Place the banana washers on the bottom - they must be just covered. Cook for about 1 minute until golden, then drain thoroughly on absorbent paper. Repeat the operation several times with the rest of the bananas, adding some oil between each cooking.
- 3.As you finish cooking each batch, place the golden chips on a hot dish to keep their crisp texture.
- 4.Sprinkle generously your salt flower banana chips and enjoy them immediately while they are still hot and crisp.
