Method
- 1.Preheating the oven
- 2.First turn on your oven and set the temperature to 180°C (th.6). This step is essential to ensure a homogeneous cooking of the clafoutis. While the oven heats, take advantage of it to prepare all your ingredients and equipment to save time.
- 3.Cherry preparation
- 4.Place frozen cherries in a colander to drain slightly. If you want to avoid them falling to the bottom of the mould, gently roll them into a tablespoon of flour. Then place the cherries in the bottom of your previously oiled mould.
- 5.Manufacture of the apparatus
- 6.In a large bowl, break the eggs, then add the sugar and a pinch of salt. Shake vigorously until you get a sparkling mixture. Gradually add the flour, then pour the milk while mixing to avoid lumps. Melt the butter and add it to the preparation. Mix thoroughly.
- 7.Mounting of the clafoutis
- 8.Gently pour the clafouti device on the cherries placed in the mould, making sure to distribute the dough well. Tap the mould slightly on the worktop to uniformize the thickness and remove any air bubbles, thus ensuring a regular cooking.
- 9.Cooking
- 10.Bake your clafout at 180°C for about 30 minutes. Monitor the staining and check the cooking with the tip of a knife that must come out clean. If the top color too quickly, cover with an aluminium sheet to finish cooking without burning the surface.
- 11.Finishing and service
- 12.Let the clafoutis cool out of the oven before demolishing. Sprinkle possibly with icing sugar for more greed. Serve the warm clafoutis or at room temperature, accompanied by a ball of vanilla ice cream or some whipped cream according to your desires.
