- 20 20 Shelled pink shrimp
- 150 g 150 g White ham
- 250 g 250 g Chorizo
- 250 g 250 g Long grain rice
- 2 2 cube(s) Cubic bouillon(s)
- 1 c. à café 1 coffee c. Origan
- 3 3 pinch(s) Thyme
- 1 1 clove(s) of cloves
- 5 5 pinch(s) Cayenne pepper
- 4 4 strand(s) Flat parsley
- 2 2 fillets Olive oil
- Salt pepper

- 5 5 Peeled Tomato(s)
- 2 2 garlic pod(s)
- 2 Onion(s)
- 1 1 Green pepper(s)
- 1 1 branch(s) Celery
- 2 c. à soupe 2 tablespoons Tomato concentrate
Method
- 1.Preparation of ingredients and meat
- 2.First, heat 75 cl of water in a saucepan. When it ends, add the broth cubes, stir well to dilute. Drain the tomatoes and peel them coarsely and cut them into pieces. Then cut the chicken whites and ham into pieces with scissors and cut the chorizo into not too thin slices.
- 3.Cooking meat in the pan
- 4.Peel the cloves of garlic and chop them and peel the onions as well and cut them finely. Wash the pepper and celery and cut them into small pieces. In a skillet, heat a fillet of oil, add the chicken and cook for 3 min. Add chorizo and ham and continue cooking for 2 min. Then keep your dish out of the fire.
- 5.Rice cooking and jambalaya assembly
- 6.In a saucepan over low heat, heat the second oil fillet, add the onions, garlic, pepper and celery. Let cook for 4 min, stirring constantly and then pour the rice and cook for 2 min. Then add the ham, chorizo, chicken, tomato concentrate and peeled tomatoes and pour the hot chicken broth, oregano, thyme, clove and pepper. Be careful, your jambalaya as in New Orleans can quickly become very spicy. Season with salt and pepper, cover and simmer for about 20 to 25 min, mixing regularly.
- 7.Adding shrimp and finishing dish
- 8.Meanwhile, wash the parsley and cut it finely. 5 minutes before the end of cooking, add the shrimps to your jambalaya. Adjust the seasoning and quickly serve the dish, sprinkled with flat parsley. Your jambalaya like in New Orleans is now ready to be tasted.
