Ingredients
For 16 servings
- 150 g porridge oats
- 2 small bananas (about 160g), peeled and mashed
- 100 ml maple syrup
- 200 g almond, peanut or sunflower butter
- 90 g vanilla protein powder
- 50 g mixed seeds plus 1 tbsp for the topping
- 1 c. à soupe vanilla extract
- 2 c. à soupe milk any kind (optional)
- 50 g dark chocolate melted
Method
- 1.Put the oats in a blender and blitz until they resemble flour. Add the mashed banana, maple syrup, nut butter, protein powder, the mixed seeds and vanilla extract. Blend again to make a thick dough, adding the milk, if needed, to bring it together.
- 2.Press the dough into a 20cm square tin lined with baking parchment, ensuring it's in an even layer. Drizzle over the melted chocolate and scatter over the extra 1 tbsp mixed seeds and a pinch of sea salt flakes. Chill for 1 hr before cutting into bars. Will keep chilled for up to three days.
