Ingredients
For 3 servings
- 12 whole chicken wings (about 1kg)
- 0.5 c. à café baking powder
- 1 c. à soupe cornflour
- 1 c. à café garlic granules
- 1 c. à café smoked paprika
- 0.5 c. à café cayenne pepper (or to taste)
- 1 c. à soupe vegetable oil
- 25 g butter
- 1 c. à soupe hot sauce
- 0.5 c. à café honey
- 4 c. à soupe mayonnaise
- 4 c. à soupe soured cream or yogurt
- 0.25 c. à café garlic granules
- 0.5 c. à café lemon juice
- 1 spring onion or small bunch of chives (optional)
Method
- 1.Pat the chicken wings dry using kitchen paper. In a large bowl, mix together the baking powder, cornflour, garlic granules, paprika, cayenne and ½ tsp salt. Toss the wings in the oil, then add the dry mix and turn to coat evenly.
- 2.Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket (you may need to do this in batches). Air-fry at 200C for 25-30 mins, turning halfway through, until crisp, golden and cooked through.
- 3.Meanwhile, melt the butter with the hot sauce and honey in a small pan or the microwave, stirring to combine. For the ranch dressing, mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and season to taste. Once the wings are done, toss in the buffalo sauce and serve immediately with the ranch dip on the side.
