Baked Corn Tortilla Strips for Mexican Soups

- 8 (6 inch) corn tortillas
- 2 c. à soupe avocado oil, or more as needed
Method
- 1.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- 2.Cut tortillas in half, then slice crosswise into 1/8-inch strips. Place strips into a bowl and toss with oil until fully coated.
- 3.Transfer oiled strips to a baking sheet and arrange in a single layer.
- 4.Bake in the preheated oven until crisp and lightly browned, about 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool before using.
