Compote of frozen house cherries
Dessert · Total time : 40 min · Prep : 15 min · Cook : 25 min · 4 servings
Ingredients
For 4 servings
- 1 kg 1 kg Cherries
- 150 g 150 g Sugar powder
- 2 ml 2 ml Lemon juice
Method
- 1.Rinse the cherries thoroughly under cold water. Squeeze them, then destroy each fruit. This step ensures a better texture to the compote and avoids the presence of nuclei during tasting or freezing. Place the stripped cherries in a large saucepan.
- 2.Add sugar and lemon juice to cherries. Mix well and carry over medium heat. Cook 20 to 30 minutes while stirring regularly. Observe the consistency of the compote: fruits must mix, release their juice and become melted. Adjust the time if necessary according to the maturity of the fruit.
- 3.When the compote reaches the desired texture, let it cool out of the fire. Divide the compote into containers suitable for freezing, leaving space for cold expansion. Close hermetically, label and place in the freezer. Enjoy later, allowing it to thaw at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
