Express Crescents for Successful Breakfast

Ingredients

- 500 g 500 g flour
- 200 g 200 g butter
- 60 g 60 g sugar
- 25 cl 25 cl milk
- 2 2 c. to c. baker's yeast
- 1 1 c. to c. salt or fine salt
Method
- 1.Yeast Preparation: First dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk and let it rest for a few moments.
- 2.Mix dry ingredients: In a salad bowl, mix the flour with the sugar and the teaspoon of salt.
- 3.Paste formation: Pour the milk with the yeast into the flour mixture and work until a homogeneous paste is obtained.
- 4.Incorporation of butter: Spread the dough on a floured worktop, then have the thin slats of cold butter on the whole surface. Then fold the dough in three.
- 5.First rest period: Put the dough in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to strengthen.
- 6.Second folding: Remove the dough, spread it out again, fold it in three and place it in a cool place for another 15 minutes.
- 7.Crescent Shaping: Finely spread the dough and cut triangles. Roll each triangle from the base to the tip. Place them on a plate covered with sulphurized paper and let rise 1 hour at room temperature.
- 8.Cooking: Bake your croissants for 20 minutes in a preheated oven at 180°C until they are golden.
