Express tomato sauce with peeled tomatoes

Ingredients
For 4 servings
- 2 2 boxes of peeled tomatoes
- 2 2 tc. of olive oil
- 1 1 onion
- Basil leaf
- 1 gousse 1 clove of garlic
- 1 1 c. to c. of dried oregano
- Pepper
- Salt flower
Method
- 1.Peel and chop finely the onion and garlic clove.
- 2.In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for a few minutes until it is translucent.
- 3.Add the chopped garlic to the onion and cook it for about a minute until it has its aroma.
- 4.Pour the peeled tomatoes into the pan. You can crush them with a wooden spoon to obtain a more homogeneous consistency if you wish.
- 5.Add sugar, oregano, salt, pepper. Mix the ingredients well.
- 6.Simmer over low heat for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. If the sauce looks too thick, you can add a little water.
- 7.Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning according to your preference.
- 8.Just before serving, add fresh chopped basil for a fresh flavor.
